I've always loved golf. But standing on the first tee and feeling the North Sea wind, something shifted. This was golf in its purest form.
Over the last few years I've been chasing that feeling across Scotland and Ireland. Some courses were famous. Others I'd never heard of. What surprised me? The rounds that moved me most weren't always at the big names.
Places like Crail Balcomie and Narin and Portnoo. Stunning links terrain. Fewer crowds. Green fees that don't break the bank. I kept thinking: why doesn't everyone know about these?
